Mailing List For Linux Related Talk

Last modified: Feb 05 14:52:58 BDT 2004

Q. How do I subscribe to the list?

A. If you signed up for BDLUG membership and said "yes" to the "subscribe to the mailing list" option, you are already subscribed. If you are not a member, or didn't say "yes" to the said option, send a blank e-mail to:

	bdlug-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Q. How busy is the list?

A. At present, expect to receive 2-3 mails per day.

Q. I can't handle all these mails, but I also want to be on the list, what should I do?

A. You can subscribe to the digest version of the list. If you don't mind browsing the web, go to the yahoo groups and you should be able to change your subscription method from there.

Alternatively, you can do it with mail. Here is how:

        Send a blank e-mail to: bdlug-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com
Then,
Send another blank e-mail to: bdlug-digest-subscribe@yahoogroups.com

Q. I want to unsubscribe from the list

A. Then you will miss the gathering announcements and many useful questions. Still want to unsubscribe? Think again. Still want to get off the damned list? OK, you asked for it, send a blank e-mail to: bdlug-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com

Q. Who runs/maintains the list?

A. This is an unmoderated list, but only list members can post. So there is nothing much to run. The maintainer has to moderate postings from non-members. Very rarely, he has to take some correcting actions. Oh! when someone asks a question on the list and no one answers and he thinks "me can help", he pops up his head. For now, this brave volunteer is me, Mojahed.
